When I was a kid, my parents would send me to Lake Hume for summer camp. It was the event I marked the days off on my calendar for all year long. Lake Hume was a Christian camp out in the mountainous woods of Fresno county and hundreds of kids were bussed in and dropped off for this week long event.
We would sing upbeat Christian hymns (think big rock bands pounding out a tune that would go “GOD’S NOT DEAD, NO HE’S ALLLLLIVE!”), we’d memorize bible verses, ride horses, do rope course challenges, buy junk food from vending machines, listen to inspiring speakers, check out cute boys, and swim in the lake. It was bliss and I loved every second of it.
When I returned home, I’d be lit up like a Christmas tree, inspired and full of holy indignation. And I wasn’t shy about sharing the concept of salvation. Ha! I think back on me as that kid and love her so much while shaking my head and covering my face at the same time.
The point is, I’m having a Lake Hume Déjà vu. I just got back from week long Joe Dispenza workshop in Portland and my mind and heart feel blown right open. The THING I’m most interested in (that also relates to my work) is ENERGY.

-Where isn’t it?
-How is it showing up in your body?
-How is it showing up in your home? Or not?
While Joe Dispenza’s work doesn’t specifically cover clearing homes or tackling clutter, he does teach that energy is about frequency and vibration and how shifting that, changes everything.
For example, a question I often ask when I talk to people about energy and their eyes glaze over is this: For one moment, think about your home. If you’re currently at your home, close your eyes. If you’re not at home, you can still close your eyes and imagine that you’re walking into your space. Pause. Now, on a scale of 1-10, rate how your home feels to you right now. A one being a ‘not so good feeling!’ and a 10 is total love and delight. Did you come up with a number? If you did, that’s YOU speaking energy. Now, taking it one step further, if your number is an 8, 9, 10, you’re probably very happy with the way your home feels!
But if it’s not—that’s when my energy evangelism starts to kick in because:
I so badly want you to feel how great it is when your home reflects YOU and supports who you are, your dreams and your vision for your life!
I believe we do better when are homes feel good!
I believe diving into our energy, be it the “feeling stuff” or the literal “stuff” is the biggest hidden secret when it comes to having personal breakthroughs—because our space mirrors US!
